About Collette Knowles

I am artistic director of Rough Magic Theatre, and I have been performing and making puppets since 1999. I have a Drama and Arts Education degree from the great Bretton Hall College, (Yay!). I started the great loves/obsessions of my life in about 1997, (Celebratory Arts, Street Theatre and last but definitely not least Puppetry). I am also an actor, artist, musician and all the other different roles necessary in the field of puppet theatre.

Shadow Puppetry shows and workshops!

Hi everybody, it’s that time of year again when many schools start to think about booking shadow puppetry shows and workshops for their Light and Shadow Topic or a show for a halloween treat.

We are also happy to fit in with books and topics that you may be working on such as when we did a fantastic workshop based on Ted Hughes “The Iron Man”. This was a more structured workshop with the children working in groups to create a scene from the story:

For more information on the sorts of shows we have available for Halloween, you can check out our Halloween events page HERE or if you want to find out more about workshops for schools please click HERE for our Education Work page on the main Rough Magic Theatre website.
